Anyone can find the dirt in someone.  Be the one who finds the GOLD.

Prov 11:27

We are excited to announce our weekend away with HBC Chester and Storehouse Church the fact that this didn't happen last year makes us more excited as we look forward to July 2021.

A weekend for all the family.  A weekend of making friends,  loads of fun and activities and lots of opportunities to Encounter God, worship, and discover more about God and who we are.  As it's a family event the kids will have their own activities and meetings. To ensure everyone (including our hard working Children's teams) has a great weekend the kids work will be delivered by Powerpack Ministries.

Where is Cefn Lea? Cefn Lea is a Christian holiday centre near Newtown mid Wales.  Its roughly 1hr 30 mins from Chester and 1hr 45 mins from Winsford (may take slightly longer with Friday traffic). (Invalid module)

What are the accommodation and facilities like? You have the option to bring your own tent or touring caravan/campervan (tourer pitches are hard standing electric hookup) or stay in the bungalow or a chalet.

cefn-lea-masthead-chalet-500x5What are the bungalow/chalets like?
The bungalow has a total of 6 bedrooms, with rooms sleeping up to 3 or 4 people, with a communal kitchen and lounge area.  The chalets have 3 bedrooms each sleeping up to 5 people and a kitchen and lounge area. Unfortunately non of our accommodation is on-suite.   To give you advance warning all bedrooms feature bunk beds - great for kids!  We appreciate that it is not ideal for couples however you can still book a room - the spare bunk beds are great for bag storage! There are duvets and pillows provided in each bedroom however you need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers / sleeping bags.

This accommodation is ideal for families or friends wanting to share and we aim to accommodate people wanting to be in the same building as much as possible and needs indicating on the booking form.

If you would prefer to stay off site Newtown is only around 15 mins away and you can book a weekend or day pass to join us on site.

What are the rest of the facilities like?
On site there are loads of facilities from tennis courts, sports hall, a park for children, pitch and putt, crazy golf, frisbee golf, indoor children's area, table tennis, nature reserve, forest trail and walks.  For a small charge you can also play pool, air hockey, or table football.

For more details please have a look at Cefn Lea's Website.

What's the cost?cefn-lea-masthead-food-4-500x5Cost includes all your food for the weekend all cooked for you, all you need to do is help clear your table.  We even have a buffet on Fri from 7pm and we finish the weekend with Sunday Lunch.  Cefn Lea are able to accommodate dietary requirements you simply need let us know when you book.  As a church family we don't want cost to be an issue and we want to help to ensure that everyone who wants to go can, so when you fill in a booking form please tick the "I need help box" and we will contact you and see how we can support you.  To help make the event more affordable as church leadership we have decided to subsidise youth places, we made this decision understanding that a lot of youth will be at our youth weekend away in March and Dreaming The Impossible in August.  We felt that all these events including the weekend are so significant that we wanted to make it as easy as possible for all to access.

I plan on sharing a tent or room with someone else what's the best way to book? There are 2 ways of sharing: -
1) Organise who you want to share a room/tent or caravan/campervan with and once you have agreed with them, all book together on the same form.  You can even click option on booking form to pay separately which we will arrange when we contact you to confirm booking.
2) You would like to share to help make it cheaper but don't know who to share with then all you need to do is when booking click on the option for please find some people I can share with and we will do our best.

Can I stay off site?Yes you can.  Newtown is the closest town which is only 15 minutes away, if you choose to stay off site you still need to book a weekend or day pass.

Can I visit just for a day?Yes, you just need to book a day pass.

How do I get there? The best way to get there is by car, however there is a train station in Newtown which is 5 miles away from Cefn Lea.  Everyone is responsible for making their own way to Cefn Lea, If you are struggling to organise a lift please speak to a leader (if you are in a Missional Community please speak to your Missional Community leader first).

As a young person can I come without my parent/guardian?Yes you can book and we would love for you to come however this is slightly different to Soul Survivor and youth weekend away where our youth workers take responsibility for everyone.  As its a church weekend for the whole church we wanted to give our youth workers a bit less responsibility.  If you would like to come we recommend your parents find another adult who is happy to take responsibility for you.  To help ensure that this is organised correctly you would need to download and fill this form in.  If you have any questions please speak to Rachel or Paul.

I can't wait to go, how do I book?Simply click on this link, fill in the booking form, we will check spaces and then send you an email either confirming your booking or giving information of spaces left available.  Once you have received your email it will have all the details required to pay for your space, you will need to pay a deposit within 2 weeks of receiving confirmation email otherwise you may lose your booking.  There will be a late booking fee of £15 for bookings received from 1st June 2020.

What's your cancellation policy and how will you handle my data?(Invalid module)(Invalid module)
